IMGA Board members have recently unanimously voted to elect Abu Dhabi as the host for the Open Masters Series in 2026.
During the Board meeting, held on 7 March 2023, Abu Dhabi showcased in an engaging presentation why they are the perfect fit with the mission of the International Masters Games. The vibrant, modern city with its amazing high-end sports facilities is the perfect mix between sport and tourism. The 5.000 – 10.000 athletes expected to attend the Games await an exciting week full of sport, camaraderie, and festivities.
The President of the IMGA, Sergey Bubka, said: “I am so excited to partner with Abu Dhabi on this journey toward a healthier, more active lifestyle. Together, we will inspire the next generation and create a bright and promising future for sports in Abu Dhabi, the Middle East, and the World.”
